MP congratulates council after Stray Dog award

Sheryll Murray MP joined officers from Cornwall Council in London to congratulate them on their fourth successive RSPCA Gold Community Animal Welfare Footprint Award for the Councils handling of stray dogs.

Sheryll Murray thanks Lloyds for £20,000 grant

Local MP Sheryll Murray was pleased to attend a meeting with the Lloyds Bank Foundation in Parliament following their grant of £20,000 to the Greenbank Community Church to help provide a range of community support projects in Liskeard and East Cornwall.  It needed funding for a project worker to support adults with learning disabilities to reduce their isolation, learn skills and build relationships.

Appreciation in Parliament for storm workers

Sheryll Murray, MP for South East Cornwall, joined Minister Rt Hon Mike Penning MP to thank Western Power Distribution workers for going out in all weathers to try to restore power to homes when it was lost during the Winter storms.

Walker Jonny welcomed to Parliament

Sheryll Murray, MP for South East Cornwall, has met with fundraising son and father team, Jonny and Andy Burnard, who carry out walks for charity, in Parliament this week. Their next sponsored walk, Walk With Pride, which involves walking from Saltash to Land’s End takes place next month.
