Diabetes test encouraged

Sheryll Murray MP was tested on Wednesday as part of an International Diabetes Federation campaign to raise awareness of the disease.  Sheryll, who worked for a local doctor’s surgery for over 20 years, was keen to highlight how quick and easy a test is.

Lostwithiel nominated for Samsung Code Club

Sheryll Murray MP was pleased to visit an event being sponsored by Samsung in Parliament to hear about Code Club which is a national network of over 1,300 volunteer led after school computer coding clubs teaching how programs work.  At the event Sheryll nominated Lostwithiel to become a code club and to receive new computer equipment from Samsung.

Daffodil Appeal backed

Sheryll Murray MP joined forces with well-known impressionist and comedian Jon Culshaw to pledge support to Marie Curie Cancer Care following a Parliamentary event to celebrate the Great Daffodil Appeal at the House of Commons last week.

Dead remembered in run up to Holocaust Memorial Day

Sheryll Murray was pleased to sign the Book of Commitment to mark the Holocaust Memorial Day in the Houses of Parliament today.  The Holocaust Educational Trust, who organised the Book of Commitment, was formed in 1988 to raise awareness and understanding in the wider public of the Holocaust which took place across Europe during World War Two killing over six million Jews.

Sheryll supports referendum

Sheryll Murray MP was pleased to Conservative Party Chairman Grant Shapps and many other MPs to support a referendum over the country’s membership of the European Union and has called on other local politicians to back the Bill.
