Sheryll Murray joins local pupils to hear views from School Councils

In the run up to Christmas Sheryll Murray MP has had the pleasure of visiting both St Dominic C of E school and St Mellion C of E school in Saltash.  Sheryll had the opportunity to meet with the staff and all the children and was given an informative and enjoyable tour of the schools by Head teacher Mrs Angela Palin. 

£millions of extra support for pupils in South East Cornwall

Sheryll Murray MP, has welcomed the news that pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds in South East Cornwall have been allocated £2,710,000 for 2014/15 to help them achieve their full potential. This is good news for pupils and good news for their families. 

Lord Hurd welcomed to Cornwall

At a visit to Boconnoc Lord Hurd spoke about his new book ‘Disraeli: or, The Two Lives’ which was co-authored with Edward Young.  Lord Hurd first gave a brief introduction to his book before taking questions from the audience of over 100 at the Conservative Party event.

Double Celebration at Torpoint Club

It was a double celebration at Torpoint Club this weekend with the opening of their newly refurbished snooker room and them celebrating their centenary.
 

Fantastic Bear Fair

Local MP Sheryll Murray MP was in for ‘a big surprise’ when she took Lord Bearsby, the House of Lords Teddy Bear, and Portcullis Bear, the House of Commons Teddy Bear, to the popular Bear fair in Lostwithiel on Sunday.   There was no ‘disguise’ that could hide the amount of work and diversity of bears that were on display.
