New steps mean safe passage to beach

New steps, financed by local shops and local community funds, were officially opened by Sheryll Murray MP on Saturday in Looe.  The steps, installed by the East Looe Town Trust link the main beach with the second beach which is particularly popular with rock poolers after the old steps were condemned as being in danger of ‘catastrophic collapse’

New store welcomed to Saltash

Sheryll Murray MP was pleased to join Saltash Mayor David Yates on Friday to open the new B&M store in Saltash behind Waitrose in what used to be the Focus DIY store.  The most southerly location for the chain employs over 80 people and covers 41,000 square feet at a site overlooking the town’s famous bridges.

Sheryll Murray MP celebrates her old school’s 50th Birthday party

Sheryll Murray MP was pleased to join pupils and teachers, new and old, to celebrate 50 years of Torpoint Community College at its current site.  The site, which was opened in 1963, has been since expanded including a new art block which was opened by Rt Hon Margaret Thatcher in 1973 when Sheryll herself was a pupil.
