Sheryll Murray MP was pleased to join Cornwall Business Partnership Chairman Thelma Sorensen OBE on Saturday to celebrate the first anniversary for the produce market at Edinburgh Woollen Mill’s Kernow Mill. It was also announced at the celebration that a grant had been awarded to the project from the Rural Development Programme for England for a winter cover for the market.
The Market, which is held in the car park, has several stallholders selling local produce to both residents and tourists alike. The grant for the winter cover was for £3,000 to include some marketing equipment.
Following the celebration Sheryll commented, “I would like to thank the team of local producers who have put so much work into the market and into making it a success. I would also like to thank Kernow Mill for allowing the use of their property. It is partnerships like this which really promote our excellent South East Cornwall goods and allows them a local marketplace. I would encourage local residents to visit the market, and Kernow Mill, as a change to the local supermarket.”
