Sheryll Murray recently visited Paul Fairhurst managing director of Orchid Plastics a business tucked away on an industrial estate in Kelly Bray that employs 25+ staff.
During her visit Sheryll was shown around the vast factory floor where she saw a selection of the variety of products that are produced by the factory, clinical bins, road sweepers, bike racks, ice skating aids, baby changers to name but a few but the main product that Sheryll went to see was a new Marine Navigation Buoy which the company has designed, produced and marketed themselves.
It is the unique modular design which allows different configurations to suit the customer’s needs.
Sheryll has offered Paul her full support in taking this product further and is trying to secure a ministerial visit from the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills.
This fantastic product is the next generation of Marine Navigation Buoys, the fact that it is modular lends it to a variety of uses, also one of the features of this unique buoy is the central space that can be used to carry equipment like data collection, batteries, horns - the list is endless.
