At the recent AGM of South East Cornwall Conservatives, Sheryll was pleased to award an engraved decanter set to Cllr Dr Patricia Moore after she retired having served the maximum four years as Chairman of the local Conservative Party. Dr Moore will continue working with the local Conservatives heading up a new fundraising committee for the South East Cornwall Conservatives.
Dr Moore is being replaced by new co-Chairmen Cllr John Campbell from Torpoint and Granville Heeley from Looe.
In a statement following the meeting Sheryll said, “I would like to pay tribute to the fantastic work that was undertaken by Dr Moore. She has led the local Party to very successful Cornwall Council and European elections in 2009. Then she led us to my own election in 2010 followed by a successful NO to AV campaign last year.
“John and Granville certainly have a hard act to follow but I know they will do their very best. It is also great to still have Pat on board albeit in a different role. It is fantastic to be backed up by such a hard working team.”
