Sheryll Murray MP was on hand to cut the ribbon and declare officially open the new Johnsons Dry Cleaning process ‘GreenEarth’ in Liskeard.
Johnson Cleaners says it is helping to make a difference with GreenEarth Cleaning. The GreenEarth process uses pure liquid silicone, a safe, natural by-product of sand that doesn't chemically interact with fabrics. So it’s better for your clothing, better for the environment and it doesn't cost any extra.
Sheryll said, "I am really delighted that Johnson's have made such a high investment and large commitment to protecting the Environment and in Liskeard shopping centre showing their commitment to the town. A GreenEarth Machine costs around £300,000 each and they deserve praise and acknowledgment for this investment.
“I am amazed at the amount of technical expertise required to ensure our clothes are dry cleaned to the highest standard. I never realised that so much effort is placed on removing stains from our clothes. Even stains that are not visible can often show up after the dry cleaning procedure and it is important for us all to ensure we give the staff as much information as possible in order that the end result is of a satisfactory. The next time I visit the dry cleaners I will be far more informed about the expertise that the cleanologists like Sophie Abraham from Liskeard has. "
