Sheryll Murray MP for South East Cornwall is delighted that Transport Minister Teresa Villiers has agreed to visit the Looe Valley Line.
Sheryll offered the invitation to the Minister during Transport Questions in the House of Commons on 15 September describing the rural branch line as “one of the most beautiful and picturesque railway lines in the country”.
Speaking after the Minister had confirmed that she would be delighted to attend Sheryll said, “I am very pleased that the Minister has agreed to visit this beautiful, well used rural branch line in South East Cornwall. It is always good to see someone with Authority over our railways taking an interest and coming to see first hand the positive impact they have on our local economy and the tourist industry”

Sheryll Murray (South East Cornwall) (Con): Would my right hon. Friend like to join me on one of the most beautiful and picturesque railway lines in the country, between Liskeard and Looe, to see for herself how our rural railways support coastal communities and the tourist industry?
