Sheryll Murray MP supported two local events on Saturday aimed at raising sponsorship for two people hoping to do the London Marathon Clyve Ugalde and Lee Hopkins.
Sheryll explained, “In the foyer of Morrisons brave individuals were hard at work on the treadmill to support the bid to raise £3000 to provide Public Access Defibrillators for Liskeard.”
The Front Line Emergency Equipment Trust (FLEET), with the British Heart Foundation, has been instrumental in the creation and equipping of First Responders who are members of the public trained to provide critical life saving treatment including defibrillation in their local area. This has helped to cut emergency response times by 3% and ultimately save lives.
In the evening Sheryll popped along to the Elliott House Hotel to support the Charity Quiz night organised by the Ugalde family who were raising money for the children’s charity Starlight. Starlight describes itself as Granting wishes to seriously and terminally ill children and entertaining over half a million children every year in hospitals and hospices throughout the UK
Sheryll concluded, “I would like to pay tribute to both Lee Hoskin and Clive Ugalde who are both running the London Marathon to boost the funds raised for their chosen Charities.”
