Local MP Sheryll Murray played an active part on Sunday raising money for the local Poppy Appeal.
She took part in a sponsored static bike run at the Royal British Legion in Liskeard. Sheryll managed to cycle 10.79 miles in her allotted 30 minute session. Overall they the Poppy Appeal raised over £1,700 in 24 hours cycling 1,000 miles.
Following the event Sheryll said, “It was great to find the time to do a workout and in such a good cause too. I have spent many years with a collection tin in the run up to Remembrance Day and I will continue to help out whenever I can.”
