South East Cornwall MP Sheryll Murray attended an open Day for the Pensilva Garden to see for herself the work done on the community garden which was partly funded by lottery money. The project was to trial the growing and then selling of organically grown vegetables.
After the event Sheryll said, “I would like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work on the garden and for the fantastic welcome I received today. It is a fantastic project which brings truly local produce to local people. As a member of the Environmental Audit Committee it is great to see projects like this cut food miles and also give somewhere local children can learn about growing produce at the same time.”
