On Friday Sheryll Murray attended the Unlocking Cornish Potential awards in the Keay Theatre in St Austell. Sheryll made the award for 'Best Use of ICT'.
Since 2004, Unlocking Cornish Potential has worked with over 600 business owners by matching graduates with Cornish companies. They also help graduates develop employability skills, get work experience and, where appropriate, supported them in starting their own businesses. Many awards were given during the day.
The 'Best use of ICT' Award was given to Ben Longden of the business consultancy firm SEA communications for identifying a new source of revenue through an add-on website.
Following the event Sheryll said, "I was delighted to attend the Celebration Event organised for the graduates who took part in the Unlocking Cornish Potential Scheme. It gave me great pleasure to present the award for the best use of ICT. I would like to congratulate all of the nominees in this category but especially Ben Longden from the company SEA as the winner."
