Last week Sheryll Murray MP had the great honour of opening the new Training Academy at Wildanet HQ in Liskeard. She said, "The internet provider Wildanet has gone from strength to strength which has grown from 25 employees to over 200 now. Training this workforce was difficult with the nearest place in Bristol. By building this new academy they can train employees locally. This also gives the advantage of creating a skilled workforce here in Cornwall. The training facility gives future internet engineers the skills and experience they need. Inside they are taught how to use the equipment and importantly how to fit the cables into people’s homes. Outside there is a pole field where trainees can get taught how to climb and work up a pole safely. I would like to thank Wildanet for bringing this educational facility to Cornwall and would like to wish the trainees the very best with their training".
