Local MP Sheryll Murray and Clay Cowie, the Cornwall Council candidate for the Lerryn Area have both welcomed the news that a new minibus had been delivered to the Lerryn Area Minibus Association.
Sheryll explained, “I was pleased to receive a letter from Andrew Jones, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, which stated that a community minibus was delivered to the Lerryn Area Minibus Association in February. This is one of more than 300 local charities and community groups across England which are now receiving new minibuses from the £25 million fund, helping elderly residents, people with learning and physical disabilities and those who do not have access to a commercial bus service.”
In a statement campaigner Clay Cowie said, “Being awarded a bus, is fantastic news for Lerryn, I welcome this bus service as I know will bring real value to the residents, it will enable easier access to larger towns and other communities. A real win win for everybody. Clay Cowie.”
