Sheryll Murray – backing Gas Safety Week

Local MP Sheryll Murray felt it important to back gas safety week making a video to support the cause.  Gas Safety week takes place between the 16th and 22nd September.  The Video has been shown at various events and has been uploaded to Youtube.

History brought to life at Hidden Heritage weekend

Local MP Sheryll Murray was interested to see some of the history of the Rame peninsula re-enacted and shown by the Hidden Heritage group last weekend.  The group had set up a series of displays and tours of the Whitsand Bay fort at what I now a camp site.  Sheryll was guided by group leader Paul Diamond.

Pensilva Awards at WI Horticultural Show

Local MP Sheryll Murray was Pleased to attend the Pensilva Women’s Institute Horticultural Show at the Millenium House in Pensilva and award the prizes.  The strongly contested competition featured over 80 classes for all age groups.

On Friday local MP Sheryll Murray put forward a Bill to the House of Commons to enable the UK to have better opportunities of harvesting minerals from the bottom of the sea.  

Publication of Flood Insurance Clauses in The Water Bill welcomed

Local MP Sheryll Murray has welcomed the news that Conservative Minister, Richard Benyon MP, has published the draft Flood Insurance clauses to the Water Bill.  The purpose of these new clauses is to secure availability and affordability of home insurance in areas of high risk.
