Local MP Sheryll Murray was pleased to drop in on old friend Jeremy Gist to celebrate Small Business Saturday this weekend. Gist Insurance is just one of 5 million small businesses which are celebrated and Sheryll was keen to support, promote & inspire small business all year round.
Launched in 2013, Small Business Saturday aims to bring a boost to local businesses which employ fewer than 50 staff.
Following her visit to Gist Insurance Sheryll said, “Small businesses are vital to South East Cornwall and make up the vast majority of businesses in the area. I am really pleased to support this campaign celebrating the 5 million small businesses in the UK, which embody the virtues of enterprise, hard work & innovation.
“I often shop in small businesses in the constituency and am often amazed at the great value for money with prices often less than the big out of town shops. I urge people to shop around and give these important small businesses a chance.
“I would also like to thank Cornwall Council for making all their car parks free for the day.”
