Sheryll On Soup!
Local MP Sheryll Murray was pleased to join local people in Saltash Sailing Club on Friday to ‘Share our Soup’ raising funds for the RNLI.
The RNLI website says that the SOS day is the RNLI’S biggest fundraiser. It says, “Last year RNLI fundraisers and supporters around the south west raised nearly £66,000, by holding a variety of events across the region based on the SOS acronym. For example, Soap Our Saloons, Surf Off Scotland, Ski Our Slope or Share Our Soup.”
Having enjoyed her Cauliflower Cheese Soup with a lovely fresh roll Sheryll said, “Whilst I had not tried that flavour of soup before it was gorgeous and my compliments to the cook.
“I would like to thank everyone for the work they have put into this important effort to raise much needed funds for the RNLI. I would of course like to thank the RNLI themselves for their fantastic work and know that they will put this money towards what they do to save lives.”
