Local MP Sheryll Murray recently visited St Neot Community Primary School for World Milk Day.
World School Milk Day is organised by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations and has been running for 17 years.
Sheryll Murray MP said “I was pleased to visit such a fantastic school for World Milk Day and as a member of the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee I was very impressed with the knowledge the children had of the dairy industry which surrounds them in South East Cornwall. Their parents should be very proud of them.”
The children at St Neot have access to milk at break times in line with the advice from the School Food Standards which states that children should have access to lower fat milk or lactose reduced milk at least once per day during school hours.
