Sheryll Murray, MP for South East Cornwall, has praised her local Councillor, George Trubody, for the work he is currently undergoing to highlight traffic and transport issues on the Rame peninsula.
George Trubody produced the consultation questionnaire so that the results can be analysed. Councillors and officers can then make use of the findings to support proposals and get resources to improve transport, highways and other infrastructure in the area.
The survey covers a wide area of topics including tourist traffic, commuting, access to amenities, water crossings, house building and speed.
In a statement Sheryll commented, “This is exactly what being a councillor is all about. Getting out and meeting people and hearing first hand what they think. It’s not much different being an MP. I carry out regular surgeries in the six main towns in my constituency and, as I pledged before the election, will be out knocking on doors right across the constituency so I too can hear first hand what is important to local people.”
