Local MP Sheryll Murray felt it important to back gas safety week making a video to support the cause. Gas Safety week takes place between the 16th and 22nd September. The Video has been shown at various events and has been uploaded to Youtube.
In the video she told how she had met the parents of two young people in her constituency who had lost their lives to a faulty cooker and stressed the importance of gas safety on boats.
Following the video Sheryll said, “I felt it very important, having seen the devastation it can cause, to back Gas Safety Week. I would like to thank the Gas Safety Trust for all the work they are doing to raise awareness of this important issue and urge everyone to get their gas checked out and to get a carbon monoxide alarm fitted.”
