Sheryll Murray MP has joined the Palace of Westminster Lions Club to help out whilst she is in London. Sheryll commented, “Volunteers from Lions Clubs around the world make a real difference to so many people and I want to make sure that I do my bit. The Palace of Westminster Lions Club helps to raise the profile of the Lions movement and highlights the good work which the organisation does for charity both here and abroad.”
The Lions held a major annual event at Westminster on Tuesday which is known as Lions UN Day, where around 400 Lions came from across the UK to celebrate the work that the Lions do and particularly their links with the United Nations.
Sheryll met with fellow Cornish Lions Christine Rowe. Sheryll has already been involved in the Lions in Cornwall. They had worked together before when they judged the fancy dress at the Rame Lions New Years Dip in both 2010 and 2011.
Past Lions District Commissioner, Christine was in Westminster as Deputy Multiple District International Relations Officer. The President of the Palace of Westminster Lions Club is Sheryll's Conservative colleague, Rt Hon Mark Francois.
