Sheryll Murray MP has organised a public meeting to discuss changes to waste collection after receiving many complaints at her offices. The meeting will take place on Saturday 12th May at 3pm at Looe Community Academy, Sunrising, East Looe PL13 1NQ.
Explaining her decision to call a public meeting Sheryll said, “I have received many concerns over the changes to the waste contract brought in by Cornwall Council. I want to ensure that any issues get sorted out and feel the best way to do this is to get everyone together.
“Bin collections are massively important in South East Cornwall. It is not only the obvious health concerns but also the impact it may have on the tourism sector which is such a large employer in my constituency. The last thing I want to see is the beautiful streets of towns like Looe overflowing with rubbish. This needs to be sorted out as a matter of urgency and I would encourage anyone having problems to attend the meeting.”
