Local MP Sheryll Murray was pleased to attend celebrations on Saturday at Saltash.Net School to celebrate their 50th birthday celebrations. The event brought together pupils and staff over the last 50 years as well as local civic leaders.
The event started by revealing a celebratory plaque by two former pupils outlining where the pupils came from below the schools motto ‘Believe and Achieve’. In the main hall there was a display of what the school had done over the last 50 years as well as some memories from early students. In the school field many local community groups joined the celebration whilst the school organised many events.
Following the event Sheryll commented, “I was delighted to attend the 50th Anniversary of Satlash.net. Having spent my teenage years at social functions such as the monthly Disco at the school, this was a very special occasion for me and I would like to congratulate the Mrs Bryce, the Chair of Governors, staff and students together with everyone involved who put a lot of effort into making this a truly special occasion.”
