MP joins Mayor to say it is “Good2BLocal”

Local MP Sheryll Murray joined Mayor Phil Seeva to learn more about a new App being trialled in Liskeard to give local retailers the opportunity to have a kind of loyalty card giving their customers discounts and information about special offers.

The Good2BLocal scheme explains, “To take advantage of the offers and discounts in Good2BLocal you simply go into any participating business in your local area (they all have easily recognisable window stickers) and make a qualifying purchase. You then simply use your Good2BLocal App to scan the retailers QR code and that's it. Some promotions (vouchers) also require you to pay for a voucher in advance of your visit and take it into the retailer. Again this is a simple process.”

Following the launch Sheryll said, “I wish Good2BLocal the very best with their project.  Some town centre retailers have found it difficult to compete with national chains and I hope that this will help them.  One of the good things about Liskeard is all the varied small independent traders who offer goods you simply would not get anywhere else.  Having my office in the Town I regularly shop in them and I will certainly give this application a go.”
