Local MP Sheryll Murray was pleased to join around 2,000 people who took the opportunity to visit the very first Looe Festival of Food & Drink held in Millpool car park on the banks of the Looe. The event included many local suppliers and cooking demonstrations and was organised by Taste South East Cornwall.
Sheryll said, “What a fantastic event and I would really like to thank Danny Gill for organising this great success for Looe. I have really enjoyed the day and was pleased Cllr Bernie Ellis joined me at the event. I hope this is the first of many annual food & drink festivals for Looe.
“I joined Looe Cllr Brian Galipeau for a really enjoyable paella from the Cornish Curry company, enjoyed seafood chowder from local hotel the Barclay House, had fresh crab from Nippers in Looe, tried wine from local wine merchant Castang Wines and met many stallholders like the Cornish Duck company. I always encourage people to try Cornish produce and the local producers certainly have excellent produce.”
