Local MP Sheryll Murray was pleased to open the Fete organised by the Torpoint and Rame Lions Club on Saturday in aid of local good causes.
The Lions Club has existed since 1997 and 100% of all monies raised is channelled directly to charitable needs, with around 90% being redistributed within the Rame Peninsula. Individual Lion members themselves meet all administration costs to guarantee this claim.
Following the opening Sheryll said, “I was really pleased that the weather was reasonable for what is always a very enjoyable event. The large amount of stall holders and the excellent entertainment meant there was something there for everyone.
“I would like to thank all the Lions involved and everyone else for the hard work put in to this event. I know that the Lions are looking for new members and I have the details available at my office should anyone wish to get involved.”
