It has been announced that the A30, which is partly in her South East Cornwall constituency, is to be dualled at Temple. The news, which came as part of the Autumn statement, has been welcomed by local MP Sheryll Murray.
Sheryll said, "This is fantastic and long overdue news for Cornwall which the LEP has already said could bring as much as £100 million to the Cornish economy. This bottleneck causes huge problems in the summer hurting both tourism and business.
"Cornwall Council has been working with the Highways Agency, business leaders and the local community to develop a proposal to bring forward the dualling of this stretch of the A30. I would like to thank them for all their efforts and look forward to this work being completed as quickly as possible."
