Sheryll Murray, MP for South East Cornwall, was pleased to visit Polruan Coast Guard station in her constituency on the occasion of David Hill’s retirement from the service.
David was first presented his second long service bar after over 40 years of service by the Coastal Safety Manager Helen Hudson. Sheryll then presented David and some fellow coastguards the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee medal to those who had worked on the front line for over ten years.
Sheryll said, “It is just fantastic the effort David Hill has put in over the years and I was pleased to be able to attend his retirement ceremony and thank him personally. I know more than most the vitally important role these brave men and women undertake.”
