Local MP Sheryll Murray and Liskeard Mayor Jane Pascoe joined local young adults who took part in the National Citizenship Service scheme over the Summer to celebrate their achievement. Liskeard School and Community College received an award as a ‘Champion College 2015/16’.
National Citizen Service (NCS) is a 2-4 week programme which takes place outside of term time in the spring, summer and autumn holidays. NCS is proven to have a massive impact on young people’s lives. In the past Sheryll has joined groups on the NCS Scheme including painting a children’s play area in Callington and going sailing at Siblyback Lake.
Sheryll explained, “I was pleased to join the students who had taken part in the National Citizenship Service scheme over the summer.
