As the polls opened Bosun Murray today launched his election campaign to become the Purr Minister. Local MP Sheryll Murray’s cat has entered into the competition being run by the Battersea Cats and Dogs home to highlight the charity.
Another cat, Larry the Downing Street cat, explained the competition as, “The cat is out of the bag - my admirers at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home have a meow-vellous mew competition. So good luck all you paw-some cats. If you have purrfect paws and cattitude you could be the cat that got the cream. I'd be lion if I said I wasn't excited!”
Launching his Manifursto Bosun said, “I am no Chairman Miaow, I believe in democracy and I believe that all cats should explore all pawsabilities in search of their purrfect life. I will not cry over spilt milk, I will work to ensure all cats achieve their dreamies of having a loving home for life.”
Bosun came from Henwood in the Linkinhorne Parish which is in South East Cornwall and currently lives in Millbrook. He is the only Cornish entry.
